Die Mannschaft von CSKA Moscow musste in den letzten Partien auf Point Guard Mike James verzichten, nachdem dieser durch die Verantwortlichen vom Trainings- und Spielbetrieb suspendiert wurde.
Nun gibt es diesbezüglich Neuigkeiten mitzuteilen. Ob Mike James in den Kader des russischen Spitzenteams zurückkehren würde, war zuletzt noch offen, doch gaben die Verantwortlichen nun bekannt, dass der Aufbauspieler wieder zum Team gehören wird. Ausschlaggebend für diese Entscheidung waren konstruktive Gespräche zwischen beiden Seiten, welche den Weg für eine weitere Zusammenarbeit ebneten.
In dieser Spielzeit kam Mike James zu 20 Einsätzen in der Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. Dabei konnte der Point Guard durchschnittlich 19,9 Punkte, 5,8 Assists und 3,5 Rebounds für CSKA Moscow erzielen.

We had certain problems, but I don’t want to talk about them in details now, this is our internal affair. It took a lot of time to sort things out and listen to everyone. After returning from Berlin, we gathered as a team and talked frankly, tried to find a professional solution for the sake of common interests. There was no easy way out of this situation, and we, with the coaching staff and the team, chose a path that implies a lot of joint work – and this is natural for a high-level sports team. It is clear that assessments can only be made over time. But we are united in this decision, and this is very important for me. I hope that everything will work out and we will grow as a team. Mike remains part of our team, we move on together.
