Am heutigen Mittwoch, den 3. Mai 2023, findet um 21 Uhr das Finale im 7DAYS EuroCup zwischen Gran Canaria und Turk Telekom Ankara statt. Im Vorfeld dieser Begegnung wurde nun bekannt, dass sich Erdem Can auf der Fahrt zum Training verletzt hat.
Der Cheftrainer von Turk Telekom Ankara wollte aufstehen, um die Lautstärke des Radios im Bus zu reduzieren, als der Busfahrer plötzlich bremste. In der Folge schlug Erdem Can gegen eine Scheibe. Zudem verletzte sich der Headcoach am Hals bzw. am Nacken. Im anschließenden Training trug Erdem Can eine Halskrause. Nach dem Training wurde der 42-Jährige in ein Krankenhaus zur Untersuchung gebracht.
Trotz des Vorfalls wird Erdem Can als Cheftrainer in der heutigen Finalpartie seine Rolle als Cheftrainer von Turk Telekom Ankara erfüllen.

Of course, we do not want to blame the EuroCup or Gran Canaria, but unfortunately, there is an ulterior motive here and the person responsible for it must be held accountable.
